Climate Change

So far this year has been a big let down on the Sun front - We seem to be ever expectant that summer is here and the weather is breaking, or soon will be - Sadly, summer seems to have been really good at "cache-cache" (hide and seek). We are normally baking and burning near the Med from around the end of March, popping down to the beach from then until October. This year I have been to the beach for two hours between thunder storms and that's it!

Lately: There has been so much rain, inches and inches of the stuff, small lakes have appeared in normally drout striken gardens, lush greenery replaces sandy earth and barren dry grass. The ferocity of the electric storms, though wonderful to watch, has sometimes been quite frightening and the noise of the thunder some amount of decibels. The wind coming from Africa has been said to leave deposits of sand in swimming pools, it has moved and removed items from the garden and blown some washing into the abyss... Our climate has definitely changed.

Speaking quietly: Today is in fact a scorcher, just sat outside having my coffee at 8:45am burning in my jeans - but scared to change, as every time I have changed into something that I could tan my legs in - the big black clouds appear and the heavens open. I won't tempt fate for everyone today, staying in my jeans heading to the supermarche!

Lets hope the Sun really has his hat on and is out to play for the whole summer starting from now!!!
